Monthly Challenges
| March 2026 – Black and White with a POP of Color | |||
| The challenge for March is this Log Cabin block with a twist towards modern. Black and White with a POP of Color! This is an easy block to prep, takes little time to sew and makes a fun quilt. If you don’t have many different black and white fabrics, just add another pop of color! Fabric strips are all 2.5” wide by various lengths indicated in the directions. Leave off the last round to make your block 12.5” unfinished. You’ll receive one raffle ticket for each block you contribute. Winner of the raffle takes home all of the blocks! | |||
| April 2026 – Letter Fun with Your Initials | |||
| The letters of your initials will represent a color, a quilt pattern, and a quilting style. One committee co-chair has initials of BMD, so she chose Blue as her color, a Meandering quilting style and the Drunkard’s Path quilt pattern. If you can’t think of a quilting style, choose a second color. The challenge is to make a 12-inch block that represents you. For quilting pattern ideas check out this site. | |||
| June 2026 – Red, White and Blue | |||
| This colorful challenge is an opportunity to celebrate the 250th birthday of our nation by making a quilted item to celebrate this event. Make something small such as a pin cushion or a potholder, or as big as you’d like, such as a king size quilt. Just use the colors in our flag for your challenge item. |
